What We Believe: Introduction

Hello everyone! Welcome to a new series of ours, What We Believe, where we take a look at specific areas of content in video games and talk about our personal views and philosophies about covering said areas.

We will be taking a look at five in particular: Violence, Sexual Content, Language, Spiritual Content, and Morality. Through this, we hope that you'll have a keener understanding for why we make certain decisions regarding video game content and how we try to guide people in making wise gaming choices.

KVR Gaming's mission statement comes from Philippians 4:8, where we read that, according to the KJV:

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

We always need to keep track of what we allow into our lives, in order to ensure that it builds us up in Christ and leads us closer to Him. If there's anything commendable in a video game, it should be mentioned and praised. If there's anything less than virtuous, it should also be mentioned and readers are to be cautioned.

It's not about telling people what they're allowed to play and not allowed to play, it's about challenging us to keep a guard on our hearts and to be ever vigilant and awake.

The next entry in the series, What We Believe: Violence, will be posted next Friday, on the 16th of September.

Kind regards, enjoy the weekend, and safe travels.
